Simon Cotton has worked in textiles for most of his career and has led Scotland's largest textile company, Johnstons of Elgin, for the last four years. As well as manufacturing iconic products for many of the world's most luxurious brands, JoE has its own rapidly growing brand; is a retailer; an e-commerce company and even operates its own coffee shops. With a background in marketing and a passion for product and innovation Simon has made it his mission to prepare the company for its next two hundred years by firmly placing it at the very top of the United Kingdom's textile manufacturing sector. He has re-committed to the company's core values around innovation, people development and continuous improvement which were first set out shortly after the company was founded in 1797, when it started the modern cashmere industry in 1851.
